I think my dad is the earliest influence I can point to. I’ve somehow always been troubled, just born that way. So when I was a child, he wrote a song for me to help me see the brighter side of life and not worry so much about the future. He infused music and rhythm into me, and into my brother as well, who is also producing music. But through my mum, I discovered techno and electronic music, which shaped my entry into music production.

Early influences include Trentemøller, Moderat, and Safri Duo. Songs like “Into the Trees” by Trentemøller, as well as the score for Tenet by Ludwig Göransson, especially shaped my early releases such as “In Eile” and my EP “In Herderspace.”

The thing about me is that what I want, like, and aspire to is constantly evolving. I’ve transitioned from being a DJ and techno producer to playing guitar and singing, but my foundation is, and always will be, a four-on-the-floor kick drum.

In 2024, I officially launched what I sometimes call my rebirth into the industry with my alternative rock release “Walking Home Alone.” I still think it’s one of the best tracks I’ve written so far, and it remains deeply relevant to my life, because walking home alone is something I do and love most.

I’ve learned that walking can be one of the most powerful antidotes to anxiety. Anyway, only a year after its release, I found myself asking: why don’t I play an instrument? So one day in Dublin, I walked into a music store, shyly browsing without any specific guitar in mind, except that it had to be electric.

I definitely didn’t expect to walk out holding a pink one. With her, I recorded “Dawning,” my latest track. It was also the main catalyst for me to start playing guitar, because when I first wrote and programmed the melody in my DAW, I knew it had to be shredded on an electric guitar.

The production was a wild ride, I was learning everything as I went, and I wouldn’t have made it without my best friend and co-producer/co-writer, Benjamin Günther.

It’s not easy to do everything on your own, especially when it comes to motivation and discipline. No one can really teach you that. Showing up consistently for your music, and for yourself, in such a tough industry takes real commitment. But music and creative work come naturally to me, so stopping isn’t even part of my vocabulary.

It’s like food, without a creative outlet, I’d probably starve. My biggest hope for the future is to reach the next level of recognition. I’m not asking for much, just the chance to unlock a new level of visibility and connect with more people who enjoy listening to my music. I definitely want to perform live more often.

I recently played guitar live for the first time at Fibber Magees, and it still feels surreal to me that I actually did that. But the human mind is a tricky labyrinth. When the visibility isn’t there, I sometimes catch myself feeling like a failure. That’s something I want to overcome, because life’s too short to lose even a single day to “what ifs” and self-doubt.

Nonetheless, my tendency to overthink is also one of my greatest strengths. I don’t think many people see it that way, after all, we’re often told, “don’t think so much.” But beyond its darker sides, if you learn how to ride it, overthinking can become a powerful tool. It gives you the ability to imagine, to anticipate, to create. For me, it’s both a companion and a muse, many of my songs are born from that inner tension.

In terms of projects, I’ll soon be recording a new song called “Trust in Fantasy,” which I wrote on guitar. It directly relates to what I just said about overthinking, it’s a reminder to trust more and doubt less. I also have a punk track in the pipeline called “Storm is Coming”, and I’m especially excited to shoot the music video for it.

Girl power, baklavas, and motorbikes are on the menu. So I hope to see you there.
